super service, the staff are exceptional
All the staff, without exception, were incredibly kind and friendly. The facilities are clean and comfortable, the food at the restaurant was excellent, the views across the Nile are beautiful. This place is an oasis.
it's a little far outside Aswan but there is a shuttle into town every evening. it's quite an interesting resort. Almost like a little town.

What was the highlight of The Zen Wellness Resort
Good
There were some really good aspects to the accomodation. Rooms were clean and spacious, and cleaned daily. Facilities such as pools and gym were lovely. The resort had a lovely view of the Nile and food at the restaurant is fresh and varied.
I must admit there were several issues throughout my stay. It appears the resort is still having teething issues with their organisation. Firstly, it’s located in New Aswan so quite a way out from Aswan itself. This caused several issues with external tour companies in trying to find the place (and incurs an additional charge for the extra driving). Secondly, everything is very far away from each other (for example the restaurant is off site and requires a transfer by staff to and from, it’s fairly regular so not a serious issue but is an inconvenience). Finally, the communication is very varied. Generally they are helpful but at times it was quite frustrating to have things actioned but I suspect this will improve with time.
